Introduction
OpenAtom openEuler (openEuler for short) is an open source project incubated and operated by the OpenAtom Foundation. openEuler is an open source OS oriented to digital infrastructure that fits into any server, cloud computing, edge computing, and embedded deployment. This secure, stable, and easy-to-use open source OS is compatible with multiple computing architectures. openEuler suits operational technology (OT) applications and empowers the convergence of OT and information and communications technology (ICT).
On June 6, 2024, openEuler 24.03 LTS was officially released, becoming the first long-term support (LTS) version globally to natively support the RISC-V architecture. The openEuler RISC-V SIG is responsible for the development and ecosystem of openEuler on the RISC-V architecture and is primarily tasked with maintaining this page.
Milestone
openEuler 24.03 LTS fully supports the RISC-V architecture, marking the first LTS release to offer comprehensive support for RISC-V. The community will provide maintenance support for up to 72 months.
openEuler 23.09 delivered minimal official RISC-V support, covering over 1200 packages within the BaseOS.
Upstream Contributions
openEuler on RISC-V focuses primarily on the RISC-V Server Platform Spec, aiming to establish openEuler as the leading verification platform for RISC-V server distributions.
